ABOUT SALEM

SALEM INTERNATIONAL

MD SALEM CHILDREN'S TRUST
provides residential foster care--home, family, counseling--and education to children from across the State of Maryland who have been abused, neglected and abandoned.

A nonprofit charity, it welcomes children with emotional and behavioral disturbances and a range of other diagnoses.  Counseling is from a Christian perspective.

Salem opened its doors in Garrett County in 1979 to half a dozen children and as many staff.  It is located on a 380-acre farm along Lower New Germany Road in Garrett County, between Grantsville and Frostburg.

SALEM INTERNATIONAL
Salem programs in the United States are neither legally nor financially tied to Salem programs overseas. They are, however, all bound to one another by a commitment to the same mission and philosophy.
